We have developed infographics to support clinicians in their discussions with patients on suspected cancer pathways.

These visual guides have been produced in collaboration with clinical teams from across the Cancer Alliance, our Voluntary and Community Sector Forum and cancer patients.

Clinicians can use these infographics as a step-by-step guide when meeting patients in person and to support any questions they may have. The guides explain what tests to expect, what the next steps will be if cancer is diagnosed and what to do if cancer is ruled out.

Our first visual guides are for the breast, prostate and oesophagogastric cancer pathways. See below. An infographic for the endometrial cancer pathway is in development.

Where to find the visual guides

Printed copies have been made available to staff working in Surrey and Sussex acute trusts and pdf versions have been shared with cancer teams. Copies of the infographics can be requested by contacting the SSCA team directly at rsch.sscaadmin@nhs.net
