TLHC Ghosted Graphic.pngThe Targeted Lung Health Check is a national NHS programme designed to identify signs of lung cancer at an early stage when it is more treatable.

It is being offered to people between the ages of 55 and 74 who are current or former smokers and therefore at greater risk of lung cancer.

Pilots have taken place in 43 locations around England. In summer 2022, the alliance worked with primary and secondary care partners to launch Targeted Lung Health Checks in Sussex for the Crawley and Brighton and Hove populations. In November 2022, it was also launched in Slough.

Later this year, it will be offered to people in Redhill, Aldershot and St Leonards.

Eligible patients will automatically be invited for a lung health check as it is rolled out across Surrey, Sussex and Frimley.
