April was Testicular Cancer Awareness Month. The Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance Education Team invited all staff within Surrey, Sussex and Frimley, in primary and secondary care to the first C Word Series: Testicular Cancer Webinar.
The webinar took place virtually, on Wednesday 30 April, between 11:00- 12:00. The webinar was delivered by subject matter experts in the field of testicular cancer and urology- Mr Andrew Chetwood, Dr Christos Mikropoulos and Louise Hollington and included; risk factors, pathway, treatment and side-effects and ongoing support.

The session will run virtually on Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 25 June between 1-2pm.
Inequities in cancer care persist for LGBTIQ+ individuals, affecting their access to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship services.
NHS Sussex and the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance are delighted to collaborate and invite you to a 60-minute webinar, as part of the C-word series, with a focus on supporting LGBTIQ+ people affected by cancer.
This session will be delivered by OUTpatients- a UK leading charity on LGBTQIA+ cancer care. Topics will include: Understanding sexual orientation and gender identity, Pronouns and how to use them, National data and key research, LGBTIQ+ healthcare experiences, How the LGBTIQ+ cancer patient experience can differ across the cancer pathway, Calling trans patients, How to create inclusive environments.
