Calling all primary care colleagues! Join us on Wednesday, 6 November, 1-2pm to learn more about Lynch Syndrome, an inherited condition which increases someone’s chances of developing cancer by up to 80% during their lifetime.

Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance has teamed up with NHS South East Genomic Medicine Service to organise this online session to support primary care colleagues from across the South East. Guest speakers will be a Lynch Syndrome expert and a patient who will share their lived experience of this inherited genetic condition.

Getting to Grips with Genomics: Lynch Syndrome Explained

In part two of our Getting to Grips with Genomics series for primary care colleagues, we focus on Lynch Syndrome - a common inherited condition which can increase the chances of people getting cancer by up to 80% in their lifetime.

Led by the NHS South East Genomic Medicine Service, guest speakers will include:

  • GP and genomic expert, Debbie Hipps,
  • clinical oncologist and joint lead of the Lynch Programme in the South East, Dimitra Repana.
  • Emma Jenkins who will share her personal experience of being diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome.
