We are delighted to announce that a cancer support worker at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has won the NHS England Chief Nursing Officer Support Worker Award.
Charlie Gepilga, a uro-oncology support worker, was nominated by his team for this national honour to recognise the instrumental role he played in implementing health needs assessments for patients with a new diagnosis of a urological cancer.
The role was originally funded by Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance.
