Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
Event date and time: 1 November 2025 to 30 November 2025
November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
Pancreatic Cancer UK, supported by NHS England, has launched a new campaign to
increase awareness of the inherited risk of pancreatic cancer.
The campaign aims to increase referrals of people with inherited risk of pancreatic cancer to a national study known as the European Registry of Hereditary Pancreatic Diseases (EUROPAC), so they can receive regular monitoring. The charity has developed a new simple online Family History Checker which allows people to check their eligibility and self-refer to the EUROPAC study.
To signpost patients to the Family History Checker, Pancreatic Cancer UK has created this poster for displaying in patient reception and waiting areas. Control-click on the image to download the poster
Healthcare professionals can also refer eligible patients to EUROPAC. Find out who is eligible and how to refer here: SSCA/EUROPAC The resources include:
- A healthcare professional information leaflet explaining what is EUROPAC and who is eligible
- The EUROPAC patient referral form
- SSCA EUROPAC Pancreatic Cancer Surveillance Toolkit
- Recording of the SSCA webinar held in December 2023 and now watched 500 times: Inherited risk of pancreatic cancer - what you need to know and what you need to do next
- A EUROPAC patient story
- SSCA FAQs for healthcare professionals on EUROPAC and inherited risk of pancreatic cancer
Pancreatic Cancer UK has also created an Inherited Risk Resources Hub for healthcare professionals and an Inherited Risk Fact Sheet for Healthcare Professionals
