Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance has teamed up with NHS South East Genomic Medicine Service to host two online sessions for primary care colleagues working across the South East. The webinars aim to increase understanding about genomic medicine and how it can benefit both healthcare professionals and their patients.

How many of your patients have, or could have, inherited conditions?
Do you know how to refer your patients for genomic testing?
Are you ready to embrace pharmacogenomics and precision medicine?
This webinar will provide an introduction to genomics, including how and when to refer patients.
Guest speaker will be GP and genomic expert, Debbie Hipps from the NHS South East Genomic Medicine Service.

Wednesday, 6 November, 1pm-2pm: Getting to Grips with Genomics Part Two. Lynch Syndrome Explained -
In part two of our Getting to Grips with Genomics series for primary care colleagues, we focus on Lynch Syndrome - a common inherited condition which can increase the chances of people getting cancer by up to 80% in their lifetime.
Led by the NHS South East Genomic Medicine Service, guest speakers will include:
- GP and genomic expert, Debbie Hipps,
- clinical oncologist and joint lead of the Lynch Programme in the South East, Dimitra Repana.
- Emma Jenkins who will share her personal experience of being diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome.
