The Marie Curie Annual Research Conference 2024 is a free online event. This year's theme is: ‘Improving End of Life for All’

Throughout the week, there will be two-hour sessions each day from 11am – 1pm which will focus on the following themes:

  • Advance care planning
  • Relationships, carers and bereavement
  • Equity in end of life experience
  • Physical health and wellbeing
  • Financial security at the end of life

In the afternoons, there are spotlight sessions. These are one-hour, bitesize sessions designed to shine a light on topics that are of particular interest and importance in the sector. These include:

  • Innovation in services
  • Addressing support needs of staff
  • Ambulance services and end of life care
  • Supporting research in hospice and community settings
  • Digital health
  • PCRS: Tips for funding opportunities and applications
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Involving people with lived experience
  • Palliative rehabilitation – staying independent
