The Marie Curie Annual Research Conference 2024 is a free online event. This year's theme is: ‘Improving End of Life for All’
Throughout the week, there will be two-hour sessions each day from 11am – 1pm which will focus on the following themes:
- Advance care planning
- Relationships, carers and bereavement
- Equity in end of life experience
- Physical health and wellbeing
- Financial security at the end of life
In the afternoons, there are spotlight sessions. These are one-hour, bitesize sessions designed to shine a light on topics that are of particular interest and importance in the sector. These include:
- Innovation in services
- Addressing support needs of staff
- Ambulance services and end of life care
- Supporting research in hospice and community settings
- Digital health
- PCRS: Tips for funding opportunities and applications
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Involving people with lived experience
- Palliative rehabilitation – staying independent
