SSCA Skin Cancer Summit
Event date and time: 22 April 2026, 10:00 to 16:00
Who should attend:
Everyone who works within the skin cancer services across Surrey and Susex. Including specialist nurses, consultants, service and operational managers, secretaries, administrative team leads, medical photography teams, theatre staff, histopathologists, chief operating officers and their deputies, and colleagues from partner organisations such as Skin Analytics and community dermatology services.
We would also encourage input from colleagues in head and neck cancer services.
Skin cancer services across Surrey and Sussex are facing increasing referral volumes. This, alongside variation in pathways and seasonal surges in demand, is creating significant strain across the system.
Join colleagues working across skin cancer services on Wednesday 22 April 10:00-16:00 for our Skin Cancer Summit – an opportunity to take a deep dive into the skin pathway and work together to improve performance and outcomes for patients.
Together, we will review our current models of delivery, openly share our challenges and agree practical, system-wide solutions that strengthen resilience for the years ahead.
The day will include:
- Short provider summaries outlining key challenges and pressures
- Feedback from recent SSCA-led skin pathway workshops
- An external speaker offering wider system insight
- Facilitated discussions focused on agreeing clear priorities, workstreams and next steps
Following the summit, a Task and Finish Group will be established to support delivery of the agreed actions.
