Cancer and Diagnostics Education and Training Funding Opportunities 2026/27

The South East Cancer and Diagnostic programme, within the Workforce Training and Education Directorate of NHS England, continues to work closely with the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance, to support the delivery of cancer and diagnostic services by ensuring the right people, with the right skills, are in the right roles at the right time.

If you are one of the following professions:

  • a clinical nurse specialist (CNS),
  • a chemotherapy nurse,
  • an Operational Support Staff professional (such as a cancer navigator, booker, scheduler, cancer care coordinator, MDT coordinator, etc)
  • or an Allied Health Professional (AHP)

At any of the following ACCEND Levels of professional practice:

you have the opportunity to apply for funding for a programme or course.

⚠️ At present, we are only taking Expressions of Interest for funding until we receive confirmation from NHS England that they will open a Round 3 application cycle.

⚠️ Submissions are subject to early closure without notice. Please apply now to avoid disappointment. 

⚠️This funding is for primary and secondary care professionals in the Surrey and Sussex area only. Those applying that are outside of this geography will be automatically declined. 

⚠️ Funding is limited to 1 application per person.
